Replacing bamboo with hedging

The owners of the lovely front shrubbery area were noticing that the bamboo was starting to pop up by the house and in amongst the other plants. Despite cutting it back, it kept growing. We were asked to remove the bamboo and shrubs in the area and replant the strip with a low maintenance hedge. The Phitina's planted are a more compact variety than the 'Red Robin', which does like to grow tall! These four are Phitinia - Fraser 'Carre Rouge', called presumably because of the lovely red leaves!
