Giant rhubarb: The new knotweed?

Whilst I appreciate gardeners want to have beautiful and exotic plants in their garden, there is a real issue with a few plants - in that they do become thug like and take over and in time become a REAL nuisance! This happened with Japanese knotweed back in the Victorian days, and has happened as of late with gunnera (giant rhubarb), prompting an official ban in the UK.
