This is the first stem of Japanese knotweed I have seen this year. It’s a bit too early to start to treat it, but clearly it’s going to be a growing year after the mild winter we have just had!

The Science and Technology Committee has held its anticipated session on Japanese knotweed and its impact on the built environment.
The sessions were broken into two parts. Firstly, focusing on the scientific evidence around the impact of Knotweed; and then secondly focusing on the response of bodies with an interest in the area.
