Simply walking down a road and noticed a load of dumped builders waste next to a home in Beckenham. Growing out of it at a rapid speed is the beastly stuff! Beautifully covering the rubble, but sadly very close to a property.
Japanese knotweed appears to be growing significantly quicker than the rest of the bush in this front garden, which is quite close to the property! Harris Dawe Environmental Solutions are now treating the knotweed and soon it will cease to be a concern to the owners as it will be no more.
The Japanese Knotweed in the picture looks a little heart-shaped, though is actually flat at the top rather than heart-shaped. The stem is growing well in a zig-zag pattern: you can see the nodes where the leaf comes off the stem as its reddish in colour.
This was a lovely garden, left for a few years…
If you have Japanese Knotweed in your garden, obtain a good management plan in place before it takes over. Here is a photo of Japanese Knotweed which has traveled over two meters and appeared in between the space in the decking. Not good news for any garden lover.
This small but fast growing Japanese Knotweed infestation has now been wiped with a suitable herbicide to prevent from growing any further and damaging the property behind. Harris Dawe Environmental Solutions Ltd will continue to monitor and spot treat the area to ensure total eradication.
